I have been an entrepreneur for over 11 years. Although, 11 years ago my title was Network Marketer!
I enjoyed helping people with my products. After all I did step out of the medical field as a registered nurse. Only now I was helping them feel better and be more healthy. Don’t get me wrong I took very good care of my patients and clients. I truly knew being a nurse was my calling. After years I was tired of the long hours, little pay for the responsibilities and the every other weekends.
So when the opportunity came along to be my own boss and I liked the products, I said yes. My business grew for about 5 or 6 years and then it started slowing down. People didn’t want to come to meetings and of course a lot said too expensive. I liked being my own boss, working my hours and liked the products. It took me a while to decide what I was going to do about my business. At this point I knew I was not going back to a job. I enjoyed what I was doing.
The thought came, “I need to take my business online.” There was one really big problem with that. I didn’t know technology very well at all.
I found a community that said they helped people have an online business. Ok, this is what I need. I learned for a price and did bring my products online. Being exposed to this environment I got really excited because I saw the potential of “branching out.”
I had learned a lot about this entrepreneurial world and social media. Like any thing some good some not so good. As I continued to grow with social media and watching and hearing others doing different businesses, a thought formed.
Even though I didn’t think I had enough knowledge I knew how I struggled learning all this stuff! I knew there was at least one person that needed my help. I did not want anyone to struggle the way I did learning all the technology.
A new business was born. The name of the business is Deb Andrews. So, with some encouragement from many friends walking with their own businesses online I got the courage to teach. After all as a nurse I taught patients and nurses’ aides and staff. It was just a little different from the medical field.
I teach a LIVE workshop for those that either need a Business Page as they are new to social media business or they need to “clean it up”. I so enjoy this that it cemented a clear path for me. I am an entrepreneur teaching entrepreneurs for social media.
I have written an ebook about not having to be a technology genius to write a blog. If I can help someone get started or keep them from getting so discouraged they want to hang it up that I believe is my calling here in this online world. I don’t want anyone to struggle the way I did
So if you know of anyone or even yourself that needs some help and guidance and understanding I ask please remember me and how you learned my struggles.
To Your Success,
Deb
