My friends were talking about an Ultimate Blog Challenge one day. I’ve not been writing blogs for very long and I also have not been very consistent. So, I asked about what needed to be done in this challenge?

This blog has some affiliate links to products that I use. This means if you would make a purchase of any of the products, I may receive a commission but there is no extra cost to you.

Writing A Blog

I have to confess, my mentor kept telling me, “Deb you need to start your blog!” Yes, I know and I thought to myself, I don’t know how to write a blog. Therefore, I kept putting it off.

Finally, the thought and courage came to me! so I wrote a blog about my nutritional products.

That wasn’t so hard!

SEO And Keywords

Then I learned about SEO and Keywords.

SEO is Search Engine Optimization

Keywords are the words people search for to find what they are looking for.

Oh my gosh, now what?

I do need to tell you I have been in a Mastermind that we discussed and had questions answered on this.

OK, I feel a little better.

Writing blogs still was scary for me and that brought the inconsistency.

One day I woke up and thought, “Deb, you DO know how to write a blog.”

What I have been writing for a very long time is called nurses’ notes or charting.

I also started what I thought was family news.

Guess what, even for family, I was writing.

So the excuse, “I don’t know how to write a blog” went right out the window.

Things I write about are things I know and understand.

Technology

I have been an entrepreneur for 11 years in Network Marketing.

11 years ago my company definitely wasn’t online and actually isn’t much now.

I am a nurse by profession stepping into the entrepreneurial world.

Technology was here and I could use my phone and get emails.

Oh Yeah, that was not going to get me very far.

There is a saying, “If you are not growing you are dying.”

Well, I’m not ready for that!

I have and am learning technology.

SEO and Keywords are part of that.

The Blog Challenge

In this Blog challenge, I am writing every day for 31 days!

I can do that.

Fortunately, I had already written a few blogs that I could post.

The comments made have helped build my confidence even more.

I am glad I took the step to join this blog challenge.

A little while back, I learned my “perfectionism” had to leave.

I needed to start and no it was not going to be perfect.

Nothing really is.

It was and sometimes still is a mind game.

This challenge is helping reinforce that for me and it’s about getting over the nerves and just writing.

The Rules

During this blog challenge not only am I writing daily but so are others.

The rules in the challenge are post my blog and comment on 2 others.

In order to be fair, I can’t just write mine and expect people to comment. I also have to comment on 2 other people’s blogs.

I am learning about a lot of things as I read the blogs and comment.

The blog challenge is not only building my confidence in writing my blog and it is getting me consistent.

To be successful at anything, a person has to be consistent.

With this challenge my knowledge of other things is growing also.

I am glad I stepped up to do this blog challenge.

Timing Is Everything

It was time for me to get consistent with writing and being there when my friends were talking about the blog challenge is when I joined.

It is my time!

I would appreciate if you would share this blog. Someone may just need the courage to start their blog and this may help them.

To Your Success,

Deb

I have been blogging forever. But forever was filled with a lot of starts and stops – And lately mostly full stop! I’ve been part of this challenge for years but don’t usually stick with it. This time it feels like I can stick with it – but it’s also OK if I don’t as it’s gotten me back to writing. So just do what you can do and enjoy the process.

I’m so glad you joined. I like phrase “If you’re not growing, you’re dying”. Like you, I’m not ready for that. We’re both going to have to leave that “perfectionism” behind to do this challenge. I know my perfectionism might have been holding me back in my recovery from a stroke, but no longer. Looking forward to reading more posts by you. Best,

I love this blog post Deb! I have seen you grow so much as an entrepreneur and reading this post shows how much you have grown. Thank you for taking the steps to write and inspire other entrepreneurs in the possibility of doing this for their business. Cheers to your success!

It took me years to figure out blogging. I started many different ones until I found what was right for me.
