Focused on Business during the Holiday Seasons

Those that celebrate Thanksgiving, in the USA, have just a while ago had that holiday. Let me ask how did you do for your business? Did you stay focused for your business?

It is tough, I admit, during the holiday seasons to really focus on business. You are getting all kinds of party invitations for Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and even New Year’s Eve parties. You might be to the point of just saying, “what the heck I can pick up after the first of the year.”

Yes, you can do that however think about this. The momentum you started will slow down or even stop if you are not consistent. Let’s face it because you have been consistent that is why people are noticing you. But you decide to just take time away and let the year end however.

So because you didn’t stay focused on your business what happens in January?

Personally Not Focused In The Past

I can personally tell you what happened to me and my business momentum a few years ago.

Being consistent my business was picking up and then November and December came. My thought was “Hey everything is moving along nicely I can just enjoy the holidays.”

Yes, January came and February and it was like being at the very beginning again, square one! I can say I have learned the lesson especially after letting it happen for a couple of years in a row. I’m usually not a slow learner however I sure was back then. I took my foot off the gas and paid for it.

Things happen, families, friends, life! There are things you can do to stay focused on business and not let it take a 2 month vacation.

Stop and think about that. It actually is the months of November and December and then January comes. So now you might start thinking about your business. Remember square one?

What you have to do to stay laser focused is first stop listening to the little voice in your head. That little voice just encourages you to “just enjoy yourself.” As you get laser focused you really can shut the voice up.

Being focused on business during the holidays is to continue daily and weekly tasks. Have a checklist, or power list and be really laser focused on getting tasks done. No excuses because it is crunch time!

Having 3 to 5 tasks that HAVE TO get done in the day. Check them off as you get them done and before you know it, it is lunch time and your list is completely done.

Now you can enjoy the rest of your day. You took care of business and can still have time for fun.

To show you how Hilary and I “worked on Thanksgiving” watch our video and see how easy it can be.

Focused on business during the holiday season really does not have to be overwhelming. With your checklist or power list you will be driving your business right through December to the finish line. Don’t forget about January either.

When To Start Thinking About The Holidays

Generally speaking I have found that when someone starts to think about January in September they are the ones that usually are able to work right through the holidays.

Our video showed you how “we worked on Thanksgiving” and had time for family. Same goes for the Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa holidays. Take the time for your family.

Think about January and what is going to happen. However you have to think about January before it comes. This happened for me this year and already next year because I was introduced to a planner called the Law of Attraction. Because of this planner my year has for the most part moved more smoothly than I have ever had for my business.

It helped me stay focused during all the holidays.

So I have been posting and Hilary and I have been doing our LIVEs since August getting you building steam for your new year. It is December now and if you haven’t done anything you are really going to have to put the pedal to the metal.

Hopefully you do have some steam going which means you don’t have to try and get your business moving forward starting from scratch and burning the first quarter of next year.

Please share this if you found value. Leave a comment and let me know how you are doing going into the new year. I wish you a Merry Christmas, a great Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.

To Your Success,

Deb

Awesome post!! It is so important although tough sometimes to not just take some time off and enjoy the Holidays. Although I have found by keep doing what I have been doing during the Holidays keep my mindset in tune and ready for the new year to start with a bang.
