My children have always said, “mom we can’t go anywhere that you don’t know someone!” I felt that way about my parents too. I guess it rubbed off on me!

As I grew I realized why my parents knew so many people. My dad worked with the public and my mom just had a lot of friends from work , bowling and other things. Plus they were just nice people that could start a conversation with people. That does take a talent.

I really enjoy meeting new people and becoming friends. Also as I grew I started to realize just how small this world is, especially when you make friends fairly easily.

I have, if you will, met some new friends in the blog challenge. If I could sit down over coffee or water I would want to learn more about them.

Asking a lot of questions can not go one way. I’m sure they would want to know more about me also.

Some of the questions I would ask would be, where do you live? Obviously, if we were have coffee we probably live close to each other like the same city or somewhere in close proximity. Questions about family and work or do they have their own business? Asking questions not only let’s me know about them and also there might be mutual people we know. That in it self could open up so many more questions and other things to talk about besides just questions back and forth.

Of course this would not be a one way conversation. As I ask questions they would respond with questions about me. It is funny how one question could lead to a whole conversation about experiences possibly in a total different area.

If I met them in this blog challenge, one question would be how did they get here in the challenge or how long have they been blogging or what do they blog about, a certain subject or just anything? Gosh, that’s more than one question! See how easy it is to get a conversation started!?

This is how I would get a conversation going with a new person I just met. Of course the blogging questions would pertain to someone in this challenge specifically as I met them in this blog challenge. The general questions could be for anyone I might meet. Please know I would not start a conversation as extensively with someone I am standing in line ahead of at the grocery store! It is amazing though the information you learn from someone. Sometimes just a smile can start a conversation!

So cheers to those in this blog challenge and who knows what friendships might grow out of it!!

To Your Success,

Deb

Amrita, Yes, a smile I feel is like speaking a thousand words. I am so glad the masks are being lifted to optional. Now I know people will see my smile. Thank you for commenting.

You could have a coffee over a Zoom as well! LOL Otherwise, I totally agree with your point! The last time I participated, I made some friends (or people who could have become friends) but I got slack and didn’t would to cultivate. I will try to do better this time!
